I was in love with this song before I read the lyrics, and that line about fumbling around in the dark with a flashlight reminds me of all those times I've spent reading under the covers as a child. and thinking that I might share that someday.
This song is actually sort of sad. If you read it differently than a "cute pop song about sex",the first two lines say something different: "found a flaw in the ending of a book i read twice." this is a line of disappointment. Think about it. To read a book twice you must actually like it, and if there's a flaw you'd probably be disappointment. "I set her straight, it's not based on your life"--> a snappy comment, don't you think. "hey, there is this story I used to like alot, but it's ruined now...oh don't worry, I'm not talking about YOU"

But as you see I had a different opinion a while ago, implying that interpretation of music really has to do with the mood you're on...
this song is pretty much amazing. i have no idea what it's about, but the melody is crazy.
