God, that line gets me every time. And that lovely little musical outro doesn't help of course.
I think this song is just about how you can't go back in time, all you've got is your memories, and you're constantly wondering if you got it right.

OH i remember, it's on the commercial where there are all the kids and it's like fast motion and there are all these objects made out of lights, like flowers and crap. OH ya crap it's like..a cell phone commercial
