Barricades In Time Lyrics
Eyes are still red
Coming apart
The lies won't take me far
Body aches
These hands shake
Dealing comes with scars
It's hard to sleep with all that's questioned
Can I find, peace of mind
Barricades in time
Can I find, peace inside
And let love come save my life
Tried to forget
Feelings of death
Invading panic spawns
Can't concentrate
No one relates
Stealing all the light
Spreading thin the soul in sections
Can I find, peace of mind
Barricades in time
Can I find, peace inside
And let love come save my life
The enemy's my own thinking
I never let it show
The weight of me I am sinking
I fight this more than you know
Can I find, peace of mind
Barricades in time
(Can I find, peace of mind)
Can I find, peace inside
And let love come save my life
(Everything is fine)
Can I find, peace of mind
(Barricades in time)
If you ask, everything is fine
(Everything is fine)
Can I find, peace inside
(Barricades in time)
As I deal with my own strife
The enemy's my own thinking
I never let it show
The weight on me I am sinking
I fight this more than you know
Coming apart
The lies won't take me far
Body aches
These hands shake
Dealing comes with scars
It's hard to sleep with all that's questioned
Barricades in time
Can I find, peace inside
And let love come save my life
Feelings of death
Invading panic spawns
Can't concentrate
No one relates
Stealing all the light
Spreading thin the soul in sections
Barricades in time
Can I find, peace inside
And let love come save my life
I never let it show
The weight of me I am sinking
I fight this more than you know
Barricades in time
(Can I find, peace of mind)
Can I find, peace inside
And let love come save my life
(Everything is fine)
(Barricades in time)
If you ask, everything is fine
(Everything is fine)
Can I find, peace inside
(Barricades in time)
As I deal with my own strife
I never let it show
The weight on me I am sinking

just heard this song and saw the music video for Tornado and i plan to get the cd this weekend. though i hate the fact that the Marky, original lead singer of Adema, has left the band the new guy Luke (also my real name :)) is a real good singer and i like the new material. i just wish they woulda just made a new band instead of continuing using Adema because the old Adema and the new Adema are quite different but both very good.
Yeah i agree with The-Sink. However, this CD seems a bit...flakey. Dont get me wrong, i like it alot, but a few songs just dont click. Anyway, I this song is about not wanting to fall back in love because he feels so down because of past scars. I can relate.
definately flakey, but there are a good amount of songs i like, Barricades, Tornado, Enter The Cage, Remember, Rise Above, Better Living Through Chemistry, Vikraphone are all good. none of em are bad either, well i dont particularly like Bad Triangle.
yeah...flakey is definitely a good description for it. but its not horrible. Marky isn't a fan of it though (i met him at my work)
This song is about letting go of past hurt in order to recover once more to risk getting hurt again. it seems like the pain of the past relationship keeps him scared and alone for he says "no one relates", but if he doesnt attempt this relationship he is only sinking further into depression, so he has to take a chance against time and LEt love save his life.
Lacunacoil86 sounds right. i love that triple beat after the corus. IMO this is best song on the album
