this song seems to be about drug use among teens, but thats just how i read it
and if i'm not mistaken, it should be "We live like vampires"

this song is great. it's definitly one of their better songs. i agree with music fiend and blendar. its not just taking about drugs. its looking at the grand scheme of life and how our inevitable end is just being prolonged by our actions and our consequences. life really is a slow suicide...

i've gone through some drug issues, and this song makes a lot of sense and some of the random lyrics arent as random as they seem. I cant speak for jamisonparker, but to me "we trust like mirrors" is like, every morning you look in the mirror, and you expect that what you see is whats really there. So its like saying when you look at other people, you trust them just like you'd trust the mirror to show you what you look like, but that you actually shouldnt do that. I hope i explained that alright, anyone else got any ideas?
p.s. using the interpretation i just put up of we trust like mirrors, "we love like killers" is like your so desperate for love that you hurt those around you
To me...."we trust like mirrors" means we only go as far as trusting ourselves...we trust who we see in the mirror.

I think I get what you all are saying with the connection to drugs, but I thought it meant love was the slow suicide. I've heard the love = suicide comparison before I heard the song...so I guess I just assumed.
