Suffocating Sight Lyrics

I am but a farce a satire of stability
Insecurity is an uphill struggle it's me versus the world
The shore still starves
For another
Novel of my shipwrecked being tied up dried alive still breathing
The sands of time from me are running out
my hands shake in apprehension
Of every action I'm guilty of playing the victim
Just like the embrace of arms that made you
They'll surely destroy you
It's time for your panic
Then it kills and makes you manic
Making its way indside - relax, it's alright
Panic grips your frantic breathing
I can't breathe, I can't breathe!

Ok People, No one has commented, This song is AMAZING..! Deffinity one of my favorites, I can totally relate to it.

"Instability, insecurity, and stress wrote this song. Suffocating is a look into my personal issues and peculiarities that I go though and recognize. The 'shore' and 'shipwrecked' lines were written at a time I was out by the ocean; 'shore' represents people, 'novel' represents songs and lyrics that I will write about my 'shipwrecked' (disturbed) self."-Matt Heafy. (lead singer) I got this meaning of the Trivium website, So thats the real meaning..! =)

To put it simple, this song is talking about their thoughts on themselves, and they're mostly negative. Also.. this song is seriously kickass.

This song reminds me of the woman I loved and how their embrace made me what I am today and the after affects of them being torn from my lives make that same sweet imbrace feel like its destroying me.

I think its about abused kids living with their abusive parents. "Just like the embrace of arms that made you They'll surely destroy you" is like saying the parents that made you are your down fall Still a great song.

It's not about abused kids. "Of every action, I'm guilty of playing the victim" disproves that. I think it's about Matt having been embraced by something he thought was amazing, ended up being something it wasn't. Being made into a particular sort of person by this specific embrace, and then discovering there was something treacherous about it is maybe what caused all the insecurities and stress.
