The Bomb Lyrics

I wear my bomb near to my chest, is it ticking?
Cold, hard, no time to rest, I feel it kicking
I wear my bomb near to my chest, is it moving?
Cold, hard, no time to rest, and never soothing

I keep it safe and warm, I hope it never burns me
I keep it safe from harm, I hope it never hurts me

I wear my bomb near to my heart when I'm running
Stone cold, right from the start, I feel it coming

I lay my bomb near to my bed, when I'm sleeping
Every single lonely night, I feel it creeping

I keep it safe and warm, I hope it never burns me
I keep it safe from harm, I hope it never hurts me

Terrorize me, come and take my soul
Paralyze me, consume me whole
Terrify me, come and take my home
Analyze me, you know I'm not that strong

I keep it safe from harm, I hope it never hurts me
I keep it safe and warm, I hope it never burns me

Terrorize me, come and take my soul
Paralyze me, consume me whole
Terrify me, come and take my home
Analyze me, you know I'm not that strong

Terrify me
Analyze me

You know I'm not that strong

I feel that this song is about how he is paranoid about his relationships with others. How he's always thinking about them, trying to keep them safe. The fact the these relationships are symbolized as a bomb, shows that he thinks of these connections as a double-edged sword that hasn't struck him yet. It's ticking...he's waiting for the day it hurt him-or rather they-but through he is anticipating it, he doesn't want the day to actually come.

Wonderful song and lyrics.

AHH no comments! this is a beautiful song! I believe it means the things he holds close to him are the ones that could destroy him.

to interface2x: No, whitespace is correct. It's a marketing term that indicates a space available for advertising, like an empty billboard.

I've heard some people say it's about drug addiction. Maybe they thought stoned, cold instead of stone cold and ran with it.

Wow, just found out about this band good stuff well written lyrics this is about something that he holds close that could possibly destroy him. I was thinking that maybe it was his heart that he was talking about comparing it to a bomb. Keeping it safe, cause it allows him to live, but in the end, it is always "ticking" and will be the cause of demise in so many cases. The end sort of veers away from this though, it goes into something that I think he is sick of oppresion....where? i do not know. could be within a home, or as large as a government. regardless....awesome song

This song reminds of a certain interpretation of the human gestation period, where the fetus is a parasite that causes sickness and general misery to its host XP

"paralyze me / come to me whole" is actually incorrect lyrics. the song says "paralyze me / consume me whole".
