God is in my fingers
God is in my head
God is in the trigger
God is in the lead

God is freedom
God is truth
God is power
God is proof
God is fashion
God is fame
God gives meaning
God gives pain

You can be right like me
With God in the hole you're a righteous soul
I got a halo around me
I got a halo around me
I'm not the same as you
'Cause I've seen the light and I'm gaining in height now
I got a halo around me
I got a halo around me

I've got a halo sround my head

God is on the cell phone
God is on the net
God is in the warning
God is in the threat

God is freedom
God is truth
God is power
God is proof
God is fashion
God is fame
God gives meaning
God gives pain

You can be right like me
With God in the hole you're a righteous soul
I got a halo around me
I got a halo around me
I'm not the same as you
'Cause I've seen the light and I'm gaining in height now
I got a halo around me
I got a halo around me

('Cause I've got a halo)
I've got a halo around my head

You can be right like me
With God in the hole you're a righteous soul
I got a halo around me
I got a halo around me
I'm not the same as you
'Cause I've seen the light and I'm gaining in height now
I got a halo around me
I got a halo around me

I've got a halo around my head

'Cause I've got a halo around my head

    My Interpretation

I'm gonna do you a favor, K? I got this song and it got me. Gotte in Himmel das is gut. And you will benefit from it so +1 for me, bitte.

"God is in my fingers... God is in my head...God is in the trigger...God is in the lead." My touch, my thoughts, my choices, my aftermath: it is all holy. The Highest (aka "His Highness) lives within me and everything about me. I have transcended. All else (including the words of the next verse) are mechanical, robot-like, lifeless compared to miracle evolving in me, going from creature to co-Creator.

"God is freedom. God is truth. God is power. God is proof" How trite. Could it be that proof precludes your belief. Even know you doubt the words that I write. It is a masquerade you think. He is not really that crazy.

"God is fashion...God is fame...God gives meaning...God gives pain." As long as we are going over the fundamentals, of course materialism, and the seeking itself, and the strife are part of God's plan. He looks down upon those who need his wisdom and he dispenses meaning or pain as he sees fit. When will you learn?

"You can be right like me ....We've got it all... Your righteous soul" Transformation complete, I took the show on the road. Believers were readily available, easy to gather, and ripe for the plucking. Who would NOT want to be part of My Wonderful Plan.

"I've got a halo 'round me... I've got a halo 'round me" The avatar of a role-playing game fits me just as well as the beatific painting of light and joy saints experience in my presence. I am the ultimate televangelist. My followers are protection, I am not just a part of the ~inner circle~ I am the center of the circle. I can do no wrong.

"I'm not the same as you ...Cause I've seen the light.... And I'm gaining in height now" A new age dawned at my birth. Not only has higher purpose infused me and all that is of me and near me, but it only gets better from here on out. Heaven is our destination.

" I've got a halo 'round me... I've got a halo 'round me....I've got a halo 'round my head" Now you see that even a halo is a limitation. It is around my head but I have grown beyond it. Now the decisions I make are beyond question, not even subject to (or available to) those who follow me, nor Especially! those who do not believe. Dogma is from God, not the other way around. Likewise, if my faith and stature says to do away with those <pagans/infidels> who are like ants in my sight.

"God is on the cell phone. God is on the net" I can manipulate reality. I am calling you. I am texting you; you may not know my identity. I could be far away or next door. Look for me on the net. Are you anonymous like me? Are you even the slightest bit powerful compared to me??

"God is in the warning. God is in the threat" I can be good and prepare you for disaster. Or you might see me as malicious and a source of impending doom. Are you on my side?

"God is freedom. God is truth. God is power. God is proof. I am aloof.

"God is fashion. God is fame. God gives meaning. God gives pain" If you don't understand it without my explanation, then you would not understand it, even WITH my explanation.

"You can be right like me ... {{{ not a sinner but a righteous soul }}}"

I've got a halo 'round me ... I've got a halo 'round me .... I'm not the same as you Cause I've seen the light.... And I'm gaining in height now.... I've got a halo 'round me... I've got a halo 'round me

    (Cause I've got a halo) I've got a halo 'round my head... You can be right like me {{{ We're God, and the call, and the righteous soul...}}}

I've got a halo 'round me... I've got a halo 'round me I've got a halo 'round my head..... Cause I've got a halo 'round my head

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
