Wet Road Lyrics
I walked behind you, so I could see you
Move the way you do, do
Move the way you do
Don’t you know just to play with what you’re given?
Don’t you know just to play with what you’re given?
Can’t take her for the only one to believe in
Wet road, paradise, wet roads today
Wet roads on the way to your house again
Don’t you know just to play with what you’re given?
Don’t you know just to play with what you’re given?
Can’t take her for the only one to believe in
You were already captured, you were already loved
I just wanted to stand with you in our space again
Don’t you know just to play with what you’re given?
Don’t you know just to play with what you’re given?
Can’t take her for the only one to believe in
It’s only for a little while
It’s only for a little while
Fierce play gets you everywhere
Fierce play gets you everywhere
Fierce play gets you everywhere
Move the way you do, do
Move the way you do
Don’t you know just to play with what you’re given?
Can’t take her for the only one to believe in
Wet road, paradise, wet roads today
Wet roads on the way to your house again
Don’t you know just to play with what you’re given?
Can’t take her for the only one to believe in
I just wanted to stand with you in our space again
Don’t you know just to play with what you’re given?
Can’t take her for the only one to believe in
It’s only for a little while
Fierce play gets you everywhere
Fierce play gets you everywhere
Fierce play gets you everywhere

Yeah, its fantastic... her voice is just amazing. Its a very pretty song too, her voice kind of wavers and flows over the lyrics. love it..
The lyrics are great, and more complex than you give her credit for. It's basically a song about a doomed relationship.
She has already captured him and just wants to be with him. For her, that could be paradise.
The "wet roads" on the way to his house signify the problem, because he's the one who doesn't know how to "play with what [he's] given".
That explains the somber end to the song: this relationship is "only for a little while." While she wants to share a space with him, she also realizes that the "wet roads" will make it difficult if not impossible to sustain this relationship.
Just a theory.
This song is just so so so very good.
The lyrics aren't really that great but the way she sings this song is.
