Such a good cover, much more different than the original. Was expecting something completely different, but came out pleased. :)
TV on the Radio is the only band I can think of that could pull off a Pixies cover. I like it a lot.

The best covers are the ones that don't try to just do the same thing as the original, but make it their own. To transcend is probably the ultimate goal of a cover song. TVOTR didn't transcend the original, I don't think, but they definitely made it their own.
One thing is for sure: Pixies couldn't do it like TVOTR just like TVOTR couldn't do it like Pixies.
it doesn't matter which version is better, since the Pixies' execution is totally different from the one that TVOTR did. i actually prefer this version because they pulled off a barbershop quartet version of a post-punk track. no one can pull that off better than TVOTR! i'd love to hear another heavy track done this way or similar by them.

I love the Pixies, however TVOTR are sweetly intelligent. I find this cover quite freaky, I like that. "yo can cry,you can mope;but can you swing from a good rope?" Ah, yes.
This is one of my favorite band's best songs. That guitar riff (the one that sounds like the "la la la la") is undefeated. Oh, and everyone needs to shut the fuck up about the stupid cover.
