Mystifies Me Lyrics
Stay a while and work it out of me,
We've got time and we can cause it to,
Just give me a sign, I'll take your word,
I'll learn anything you want me to.
That is all I'm looking to you for,
All I'm asking that you simply do.
Take it, leave it, make things matter,
Let in all my breath away.
Take it all apart and put it back,
I'm always left here looking at you.
You look so fine, true.
You look so fine, true.
And I would not lie to you.
Let me see you, let me know your dreams,
Won't you please give out a sign.
Things you say you make me look through you,
No one mystifies me like you do.
This is why I'll always look at you,
And I'll hold you to it everyday.
You look so fine, true.
No one mystifies me like you do.
You look so fine, true.
No one mystifies me like you do.
We've got time and we can cause it to,
Just give me a sign, I'll take your word,
I'll learn anything you want me to.
All I'm asking that you simply do.
Take it, leave it, make things matter,
Let in all my breath away.
Take it all apart and put it back,
I'm always left here looking at you.
You look so fine, true.
And I would not lie to you.
Won't you please give out a sign.
Things you say you make me look through you,
No one mystifies me like you do.
This is why I'll always look at you,
And I'll hold you to it everyday.
No one mystifies me like you do.
You look so fine, true.
No one mystifies me like you do.

Age-old state of man's observations of woman... She's beautiful, fascinating, and he's woefully incapable of understanding her.
Great song, one of my top favorites.
He is mystified by God He's looking for a sign from God of His existence
*Note that "fine" means: 'of superior or best quality'
it doesn't mean 'sexy' when a man says a woman is "fine", he means 'she is most perfectly created'
i like this cover even better than the original... farrar seems a lot more comfortable phrasing over 9/4 time.
@scapegrace316 i'm guessing you desperately want every song to be about god (cf. "grace" "316"), but sorry... ron wood was definitely NOT writing about god in this song.
