Strongest Man in the World Lyrics
I am fused out of iron, iron (X8)
I promise
I'll keep this
Under my control
Control

Under my control
Promise to keep this
Under my control
I'll keep this
Under my control
Control
I'll keep this
Under my control
Promise to keep this
Under my control

i thought 'strongest man in the world' was a metaphor for one of the menomena guys, whichever one wrote it. like, he’s trying to convince himself or someone else that he can control this thing that’s getting to him, and 'fused out of iron' is just an exaggeration...self encouragement kind of thing.
Stop thinking of who the strongest man in the world is, think of iron's properties. Iron rusts in the rain. A man trying to take control and failing. The rain is destroying him. He's crumbling under pressure.
About my previous comment I've been thinking. Rain is such a simple (mostly) harmless occurance. Something so little causing destruction (iron rusting in the rain) seems to be the concept. Being over come by tahe little things in life.
the song is simply a reference to maintaining ones sense of self...iron is the single most important factor in breathing and is what keeps us all alive...we are all, "fused out of iron". in this way, the song is reflecting the need to not panic when faced with adversity.
I am fused all out of iron is a reference to how massive stars end their lifes, its the stage just before the whole thing goes supernova in dramatic fasion.
Stars fuse hydrogen into helium for most of their lives. When there is no more hydrogen, they switch to heavier elements, the start of a process that can not be stopped. First helium is fused to carbon, then carbon to neon, which takes about 600 years. After that it goes faster and faster, Neon burning for 1 year, oxygen burning about 6 months. At 3 billion degrees, the core can fuse silicon nuclei into iron and the entire core supply is used up in one day. Under ever increasing pressure and gravity the iron core collapses, and the whole thing goes supernova. We're fused all out of iron.
The line "I promise I will keep this under control" is a promise he can not keep.
Something very dramatic is about to happen.
Repenting drug addict? Superhero gone bad? Who knows.
Good song? Oh yes, very.
Easy, it's about that character in the Pete & Pete Series, it's like a tribute to the Strongest Man In The World, if they were talking about Superman or Goku they would said "The Strongest Man in the Universe" instead.
uhm...no and no. Although Artie was the strongest man in the world, i don't believe that he was infused with iron. He got his powers from his magical striped underwear...duh. The song seems to be about some sort of superhero figure that is doubting himself and is cracking under the pressure of his own responsibilites. Just a guess.
not letting the title of being 'the strongest man in the world' go to his head, or at least hoping to.
or perhaps about a serial killer
I like this song a lot.
