Sprig Lyrics
Fresh when sleeping and every other night
Falling asleep for the fifth time, early in the morning
Awake in terror we're staring back at him, never to be used
Their hands aren't cold
So quiet, they could hear each other's thinking, denying
Garner interest, each other's thinking, denying
Making of life, a forged painting
Life's big magnet tug, tugging
And listeners like you
Falling asleep for the fifth time, early in the morning
Awake in terror we're staring back at him, never to be used
Their hands aren't cold
So quiet, they could hear each other's thinking, denying
Garner interest, each other's thinking, denying
Life's big magnet tug, tugging
And listeners like you

I loveeeeeeeee this song. Her voice is amazing. I'm pretty sure you got the line, "life's big magnet talk, talking" wrong though. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be "life's big magnet tug, tugging." I think it makes more sense that way too.
and "Awake in terror we're staring back at him, never to be used their hands aren't cold" is supposed to be "Awake in terror words staring back at him, never to be used their hands on hold." listen carefully, it sounds like this.
Hm, I did edit it but it seems like these might be the official lyrics (they'll be sent to the copyright owners, i.e. Emily and Doghouse Records)...

i love how macabre this sounds. this was a poem by her father which she set to music. she said that her lyrics differ slightly from the original. and im guessing the only difference is the line "and listeners like you" which is kind of a thank you to all of us, because she also had that written on Knives in the thank you section.
this song sounds just awesome, these beats and instruments sound amazing and just take me to another place. :)
wow i had so many of these lyrics wrong in my head
I always thought it was "Gone are interests" but now that I listen to it it is actually Garner. Aww i liked my version better.
