Theatre Lyrics
I see the world in a swirl of hues,
but my favorite color is shame.
Tonight the sky is painted...
Tonight the sky is painted melancholy
and the wind sings songs as if it would lament
some tragedy on the far side of the world.
We're in the deep pockets of my mind,
where I lust after blood and pain.
Tonight the sky is painted...
Tonight the sky is painted melancholy
and the wind sings songs as if it would lament
some tragedy on the far side of the world.
I am I
And the world is a woman from whom I must take take take
In an act of lust, in an act of pride
And I am damned, but can I be saved?
But can I be saved?
...Saved!
Tonight the sky is painted...
Tonight the sky is painted...
Tonight the sky is painted...
Tonight the sky is…
Melancholy and the wind sings songs as if it would lament
some tragedy on the far side of the world.
And the wind sings songs as if it would lament

it makes you want to rock out.
This is the catchiest song I've ever heard.
i love this song. its so fun. and im not 100% sure of the meaning... but i think i got the jist.
i'm not sure what the songs means but the song have a great overall feel
It probably means something to the effect that the singer is probably in a shameful, sad mood because of a wrong act he did...and so, you know how you always see everything horrible when your not in a good mood? Well, I think he's just conveying his emotions into his surroundings...if you look really deeply into this song i bet you could figure out what he did bad....but I think thats besides the point....anyways, great song....so catchy....
"Tonight the sky is painted melancholy"
Actually this song (and the whole cd) is referring to the city of Pompeii. When the "volcano" blew and killed thousands by covering them in ash. That's what they're referring to by "tonight the sky is painted black."
