Another Girl, Another Planet Lyrics
I always flirt with death
I look ill, but I don't care about it
I can face your threats
And stand up straight and tall and shout about it
I think I'm on another world with you, with you
I'm on another planet with you, with you
You get under my skin
I don't find it irritating
You always play to win
But I won't need rehabilitating, oh no
I think I'm on another world with you, with you
I'm on another planet with you, with you
Another girl, another planet
Another girl, another planet
Space travels in my blood
There ain't nothing I can do about it
Long journeys wear me out
But I know I can't live without it, oh no
I think I'm on another world with you, with you
I'm on another planet with you, with you
Another girl is loving you now
Another planet, is holding you down
Another planet
I look ill, but I don't care about it
I can face your threats
And stand up straight and tall and shout about it
I'm on another planet with you, with you
I don't find it irritating
You always play to win
But I won't need rehabilitating, oh no
I'm on another planet with you, with you
Another girl, another planet
There ain't nothing I can do about it
Long journeys wear me out
But I know I can't live without it, oh no
I'm on another planet with you, with you
Another planet, is holding you down

It's not bad that it's written about heroin. Loads of great songs have been written about that, There She Goes, Perfect Day, Golden Brown, Hurt, Never Let Me Down Again, I Think I'm In Love...
Perrett's writing about something personal. He's being honest, why's that a bad thing?
This is probably one of the greatest singles ever written. Nothing else comes even vaguely close.
This song is bloody awesome.
"I always flirt with death" - great line. Love this song, it's a brilliant song, whether sober or drunk. But drunken dancing in an indie club with your mates and random people is definitely fun.
sicckkkk tune
Space travels in my blood And there ain't nothing I can do about it Long journey's wear me out I know, I can't live without it, oh no
such a good verse! highlights the heroinness
I remember playing this and the rest of the album loud in London in the late 1970s. My friends and I certainly knew what this was about, and we understood every word and every feeling.
It's about being smacked out your head on heroin.
Let me tell you I was pissed when I found out this song was about heroin. I mean I enjoy singing about heroin as much as the next but I liked the innocence
Sucks that the song turns out to be about heroin... but it's still got one of my favorite guitar solos in it. And why is this the only song from The Only Ones on the site? Such a good band deserves more than this.
This song features lyrically in the book Junk, by Melvin Burgess. It is definately my favourite song EVER. It ties in perfectly with the book, which everyone should read.
