The Only One Lyrics
When I look in her eyes
And I still feel the same, I know it's hopeless
And when I look to the skies
And the stars spell her name, I know it's hopeless
Amnesia, really need ya
I wanna lose my mind
In a place that I won't find
Forgetting's hard when you're the only one
That makes things easy, you make things easy
You're the only one that eases me
I remember the times
When my shoulder held your head and I would wonder
How did they find such a perfect fit?
I remember
- I never wanted to take you home
Amnesia, really need ya
I wanna lose my mind
In a place that I won't find
So call me now, you know that you want to
I need to hear your voice to talk me back into existence
And I still feel the same, I know it's hopeless
And when I look to the skies
And the stars spell her name, I know it's hopeless
I wanna lose my mind
In a place that I won't find
That makes things easy, you make things easy
You're the only one that eases me
When my shoulder held your head and I would wonder
How did they find such a perfect fit?
I remember
- I never wanted to take you home
Amnesia, really need ya
I wanna lose my mind
In a place that I won't find
I need to hear your voice to talk me back into existence

Love the 3 part harmonies and the overlapping phrases at the end. Brilliant.
i remember the times when my shoulder held your head and i would wonder how did they find such a perfect fit
sweetest ever lines in the song. weirdly enough, the "when you're the only one" part reminds me a lot of the 'truly madly deeply' song by savage garden. hmm. still, great song.
the TMA anthem song, 3 part harmony is of course amazing. actually reminds me of Brand New's song, Last Chance to Lose Your Keys. I saw them live in august of 2002. their three part harmony at the end of that song has got to be the greatest thing i've ever witnessed
These guys need to tour out of NC. They would have such a good response with the right tourmates...brand new.
actually, scratch that... Cartel + The Mile After + The Starting Line would be an amazing tour line up
These Guys Rule, Such a nice song you could dedicate to anyone, its fantastic filled with so much emotion and yet still manages to keep a great rythym.
probably one of the cutest songs ever.
"when i look to the skys and the stars spell her name, i know it's hopeless."
so sweet. sweet song. tma = love.
i've gotta say, I like the old version better than the remake.
i agree with billingualmeaning
