Crickets Sing For Annamaria Lyrics

Hey Maria, Papa said

You'd better go to bed

Maria, Mama said

You'd better go to bed

And little sister said

You'd better go to bed

The elder brother said

You heard what Papa said

You'd better say good night

You better shut the light

And Papa told you

No, you can't go out tonight

But Papa didn't know

Maria had a date

And couldn't let him wait

So in a little while

She waited till the lights were low

She went out of the window

To her beau

And so…

There was a lotta huggin' and

A lotta kissin' and

A lotta huggin' and

A lotta kissin' and

A lotta happy talk

A lotta moon above

But very little time

A very little time to make a lotta love

To make a lotta love

Which is a normal thing

To make a lotta love

For it was summer time

When all the crickets sing

And in the summer time

When anyone's in love

The crickets sing a happy song

But they didn't do their repertoire for long

Suddenly the Papa came

And then the Mama came

And then the sister came

And then the brother came

And then the Uncle came

And then the cousin came

And everybody came

And I can tell this

It was a dirty shame

Because the Papa came

And then the Mama came

And then the sister came

And then the brother came

And then the Uncle came

And then the cousin came

And everybody came

This song was on at work today and it reminded me to pray for Emma Bunton to get a brain tumor. Seriously, the way this little air head twat talks about 'taking her music in a new direction', like she is a real artist, makes me want to vomit.

^ WTF? It's a retro direction, and she's mighty good at it. I think musical snobs should get painful stomach cancer.
