i think this song is just about finding some happiness with someone and looking back, neil's voice is beaitful in this one, he could sing the news beautifully
It's a song dedicated to his daughter.
Love this song - especially the last big verse ("Well sometimes life is like being afloat...")
Ah that its about his daughter makes the "and not long after that came you" line make more sense. I thought it was kind of a humorous thing, but that explains it better :-)
