Locusts Lyrics
Don't go outside tonight
the locusts fill the sky
and the devils work is never done
and the gypsy curse you wore
cant hurt us anymore
as we raise our glasses to our mouths
and its all for one
and the bells that rang in hope
are still swinging from the ropes
we thought we'd one day perish on
and the tune you never wrote
and the words you never spoke
have gathered up and need a song
I'm moving off, I'm packing up
I'm willing to be wrong..
now your giving up the ghost
to the one who meant the most
and one day when she least expects she'll know
and the words you never spoke
and the tune you never wrote
won't write itself or wait for evermore
I'm moving off, I'm packing up
I'm willing to be wrong..
the locusts fill the sky
and the devils work is never done
and the gypsy curse you wore
cant hurt us anymore
as we raise our glasses to our mouths
and its all for one
are still swinging from the ropes
we thought we'd one day perish on
and the tune you never wrote
and the words you never spoke
have gathered up and need a song
I'm willing to be wrong..
to the one who meant the most
and one day when she least expects she'll know
and the words you never spoke
and the tune you never wrote
won't write itself or wait for evermore
I'm willing to be wrong..

I think this is also about his friend Mic Christopher... who was his best friend when he was younger, and who died after falling down a flight of stairs.
sniff This song makes me a bit teary...
Glen always says this song is about, and for, his best friend Mic Christopher.

This is my favorite song off of Burn The Maps. I think its about a guy who is overlooked by a girl who he wants to be with and knows that some day she will look back and realize what she missed.
ok thats just sad. this song always had a sad feel to it, now its just depressing. yet still so so beautiful and my favorite on Burn the Maps.
oh and cloudgazer, Ireland rocks, says the American girl.
