The Way You Are Lyrics
Waist deep in her
Neck deep in this
Surviving her
Mental apocalypse
Call me a liar
Still I'll take you
Just the way you are
'Til you expire
Still I'll take you
Jjust the way you are
Pure fist lash back
Two nights in a row
I claw her back
And smile real slow
Call me a liar
Still I'll take you
Just the way you are
'Til you expire
Still I'll take you
Just the way you are
And it's in the way
It's in the way you move your hips now
It's in the way
It's in the way you move your hips now
It's in the way
It's in the way you move your hips now
It's in the way
It's in the way you move your hips now
It's in the way

this song makes me think of sex
word.
It's not "mental apocalypse," it's "dancehall apocalypse." Josh once explained in an interview that the dancehall apocalypse metaphor is about horrible things happening during times you expect things to be good. Dancehalls, he said, were supposed to be places full of joy and fun, and apocalypse, obviously, is the complete opposite. Anyway, that phrase sort of fits the song; it's kind of melancholy/bitter sex.
Listening to this on the album I really thought this song was about an intense, draining dance. However previously I had the same belief as 'starsfinallyxplode' and I think that may be the true meaning of the song.
Melancholy/bitter sex. A great way to put it.
He's actually singing "I claw her back and slide real slow"
God I freaking miss this band.
