Tied My Hands (Acoustic) Lyrics
Can you remember when we used to cry
But never in distress
Or can you picture when
We used to pride ourselves on neatness
Cause I can’t understand what you meant to me
Made me wild, then you tied my hands
Can you remember when we used to laugh
At those mistakes we made
Or can you picture then
How we used to drive
And never reach the end
Cause I can’t understand what you meant to me
Made me wild, then you tied my hands
Since you went away
Made me find
I have nothing to say
But since you went away
Made me find
I have nothing to say
Cause I can’t understand what you meant to me
Made me wild, then you tied my hands
Yeah, cause I can’t understand what you meant to me
Made me wild, then you tied my hands
Tied my hands, tied my hands, tied my hands, you tied my hands
But never in distress
Or can you picture when
We used to pride ourselves on neatness
Cause I can’t understand what you meant to me
Made me wild, then you tied my hands
At those mistakes we made
Or can you picture then
How we used to drive
And never reach the end
Made me wild, then you tied my hands
Made me find
I have nothing to say
Made me find
I have nothing to say
Made me wild, then you tied my hands
Made me wild, then you tied my hands

i really love this song....shaun has one of the best voices. It's a pity that seether isn't more recognized....then again i'm glad their songs are played repeatedly over the radio.
I'll be honest: The first time I heard this song, it made me come really close to crying. It's so beautiful. Shaun's really talented.
This song holds really close to me as this is how I feel towards it. I was seeing a girl for a few months, and i knew she had a man, so i was playing the role of the other guy. We hung out alot during this time, stuff you would do with someone you were in a relationship with. I have fallen hard for her, and she chose to stay with her boyfriend, we still talk, we still hang out too, but just as friends no psychical relations. So as to how it relates to the song, i feel like we had so much together but now with this whole friends thing, being with her made me wild, she tied my hands and i can't act how i want towards her anymore. Sorry its so long... just how it relates to me
@Nash395 you articulated what I thought but couldn't get out I'm in the situation you spoke of at the moment

OMFG I thought i had heard every seether song ever written and then I found this. I love songmeanings.net. which album was this one? was it when they were saron gas or on another album?
poetryvirus: this song was done by the band when they were a South African based band called "Saron Gas". It's on the album called "Fragile". It's also on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8TyOicTO54

BTW - the original version is IMO even better than the acoustic/unplugged.

This song really makes me see how people can compare Shaun to Kurt in a lot of ways... it's the eerie, almost fragile way that his voice gets on some acoustic songs.

I love the Chorus of this song. The line "Made me wild, then you tied my hands" makes me think about my first girlfriend. She lightened up my life and right when I thought that everything was perfect, she broke up with me and "tied my hands" for a few months. I couldn't think about anyone else, couldn't enjoy anything...
I don't like the acoustic version as much as the original, which really gets you in a melancolic mood. Listen to the original and you'll forget the acoustic right away, I guarantee!
Its nice to hear one of the old songs reborn. The Acoustics are amazing on One Cold Night.
