Girl girl girl
When I hear him talk
Ooh my mind gets blocked girl

Speak up 'cause my jaw is locked
Which is good, good for me girl
It hides like a warning sign
But I'm too blind to see

Speak up yes I'm coming down
With an ice cold fever
Ice cold fever
Ice cold fever

Still got my hands they're clinging
So I just keep going
I don't know where I belong
Could I belong to you
No I don't know where I belong
Could I belong

Girl girl girl
Get it while it's hot they say
You see I'm burning up here
I want to but I just can't stop
And it hurts
It hurts like hell girl

You turn me inside out and upside down
Ooh you got me head over heels
I'm stuck
Yes I'm coming down with an ice cold fever
Ice cold fever
Ice cold fever, aha

Still got my hands they're clinging
So I just keep going
I don't know where I belong
Could I belong to you
No I don't know where I belong
Could I belong
Could I belong

Still got my hands they're clinging
So I just keep going
I don't know where I belong
Could I belong to you
No I don't know where I belong
Could I belong
Oh girl, yeah I belong

To you, you, you
To you, yeah you
To you, you, you
To you, yeah you

To you, you, you
Yeah I belong to you
Say you yeah you
Could I belong to you
Alright

Hey!
Hey!

Hey!
Good

i read as a comment at the song 'lost' "she sounds like a chicken" lol ok, never mind that, i LOVE this song, it has a hidden meaning to it! a scramble of words. the second girl, girl, girl in the lyrics is followed by "get it while it's hot they say" but wht she REALLY sings is "eddy wally's hot they say" you might think, who the hell is eddy wally? Well, eddy wally is a, well, how can i say this gently, a lost soul-singer kind of man. Loves elvis, a little slow, very very happy, but a bit of a schmuck. He's pretty known in belgium (where he lives) and the netherlands (where anouk comes from) listen to it! :D

ps: it's about a girl telling a good woman friend of hers about her crush, i think...

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
