Fix what’s wrong, but don’t rewrite what the artist wrote. Stick to the official released version — album booklet, label site, verified lyric video, etc. If you’re guessing, pause and double-check.
Respect the structure
Songs have rhythm. Pages do too. Leave line breaks where they belong. Don’t smash things together or add extra empty space just for looks.
Punctuation counts (but vibe-editing doesn’t)
Correct typos? Yes. Re-punctuating a whole verse because it ‘looks better’? Probably not. Keep capitalization and punctuation close to the official source.
Don’t mix versions
If you’re editing the explicit version, keep it explicit. If it’s the clean version, keep it clean. No mashups.
Let the lyrics be lyrics
This isn’t the place for interpretations, memories, stories, or trivia — that’s what comments are for. Keep metadata, translations, and bracketed stage directions out unless they’re officially part of the song.
Edit lightly
If two lines are wrong… fix the two lines. No need to bulldoze the whole page. Think ‘surgical,’ not ‘remix.’
When in doubt, ask the crowd
Not sure what they’re singing in that fuzzy bridge? Drop a question in the comments and let the music nerds swarm. Someone always knows.
Fuck!! this song is.... magical, hypnotizer, and stuff... my favorite instrumental song, seeing dream theater perform this song live was.... foock, one of the best moments in music history, the song is great, and John Myung's bass solo is SICK!!!, he seems all relaxed when playing it, but i think he must be burning & tired on the inside... oh, yeah, and the keyboard solo.... perfect!!, yes, i think people must comment on instrumental songs too and express what they think the song is all about... a song doesnt need to have lyrics to mean something..
Every member of the band truly shows their ability with their instruments in this song
Great Guitar, Drums, Bass and Keaboards
this song is perfect in my opinion
This song is so amazing...if it's not my fav it's number 2. Everything about it is awesome...the heavy part in the middle, the bass solo, and the badass scale sweeps toward the end.
I love how this song transitions into "One Last Time." It sends chills up my spine. It's like all the tension is immediately released.
Why? Because it's pointless, seems like they only put it in there was because they could. It would've been much better as an instrumental section to another song...

In the song "metropolis pt 1" there is a lyric "Death is the first dance, eternal", so i think this instrumental might be about, death..yea.

why? 'dance of eternity' describes how the music progresses. its upbeat like a dance al the way through, but the different section depict a timeline.
