An Orchestration's Overture Lyrics
You're working that job,
You're working your fingers to the bone,
And when you went cold,
What did you find there?
Was he such a bad boy after all?
After all?
Was she such a bad girl after all?
You're working that job,
You're working your fingers to the bone,
And when you went cold,
What did you find there?
Was he such a bad boy after all?
After all?
Was she such a bad girl after all?
You're working your fingers to the bone,
And when you went cold,
What did you find there?
Was he such a bad boy after all?
After all?
Was she such a bad girl after all?
You're working your fingers to the bone,
And when you went cold,
What did you find there?
Was he such a bad boy after all?
After all?
Was she such a bad girl after all?

I'm pretty sure he's saying, "And when you went home," not "cold." Anyway, this is definitely one of my favorite songs on this album. It doesn't seem to have much to do with the whole television-Superman-inventor theme, and the booklet references the song as sort of a mid-point, or an intermission, before the beginning of the end of the story, so this song is exactly what the title says: an overture.
