Listen Now Lyrics
Listen now,
I am afraid of everything
When you told me I was special
It was the happiest moment for a long, long time
Listen now, I keep forgetting your name
When you laid down on the kitchen floor
It was the happiest moment for a long, long time
We seek new seed now
Some revolutionary
And you will never get a hold
We seek and we will find
Reason to stay alive
The price has never been this low
Listen now, I was afraid of everything
Then I straightened my head up
It was the happiest moment for a long, long time
I am afraid of everything
When you told me I was special
It was the happiest moment for a long, long time
When you laid down on the kitchen floor
It was the happiest moment for a long, long time
Some revolutionary
And you will never get a hold
We seek and we will find
Reason to stay alive
The price has never been this low
Then I straightened my head up
It was the happiest moment for a long, long time

I think she sings "We seek new seed now"........
why is this not separated into stanzas?
I have no idea what this song is about personally, all I know that it is specifically from Hannah Med H, as The Knife wrote and performed the entire soundtrack for that movie.
The first paragraph is from the context of the woman "When you told me I was special It was the happiest moment for a long, long time", she has low self esteem and she takes what a man said to her very seriously.
The second paragraph is from the context of the man. In contrast to the girl hearing she is special, the happy moment for the man was having the girl lay down on the floor (I guess having the girl agree to sex), in the kitchen which is also pretty degrading and stereotypical of where a woman should be.
The rest of the song speaks about how the girl is different now, sticks her head high and doesnt need to hear she is special from guys. The price has never been this low meaning she was at such low point, finding a reason for living should not be hard
