Sunday Morning Song Lyrics
It's not that bad
We could have died
Chalk it up to being young
Prove it was me
No morning drive
No blurred headlight
from the corner of my eye
If only you were here right now,
you'd tell me..
Wouldn't it be somethin if everything changed
Wouldn't I be somethin in your way
Wouldn't it be more than livin' in your wake
If you and I would ever cease to be
Yeah.. yeah..
Your summer dress
A late downpour
and how it caught us on the stairs
That silent song you'd sing to me
keeps singing..
Wouldn't it be somethin if everything changed
Wouldn't I be somethin in your way
Wouldn't it be more than livin' in your wake
If you and I would ever cease to be
Yeah.. yeah..
No, my love
Hold on
We bend, I break
You fall, we scrape
I blame it all on being older now
I'm still singing...
Wouldn't it be somethin if everything changed
Wouldn't I be somethin in your way
Wouldn't it be more than livin' in your wake
If you and I would ever cease to be
We could have died
Chalk it up to being young
Prove it was me
No blurred headlight
from the corner of my eye
If only you were here right now,
you'd tell me..
Wouldn't I be somethin in your way
Wouldn't it be more than livin' in your wake
If you and I would ever cease to be
Yeah.. yeah..
A late downpour
and how it caught us on the stairs
That silent song you'd sing to me
keeps singing..
Wouldn't I be somethin in your way
Wouldn't it be more than livin' in your wake
If you and I would ever cease to be
Yeah.. yeah..
Hold on
You fall, we scrape
I blame it all on being older now
I'm still singing...
Wouldn't I be somethin in your way
Wouldn't it be more than livin' in your wake
If you and I would ever cease to be

I love this song! It's very sweet and howie day is an amazing musician
I think this song might be about a pregnancy scare. He’s comparing it to a car crash in some way, and that is interesting, as if just the scare tore them apart. It’s like “I know nothing really happened, so why do I feel so crappy?”
