geeeeeeees im the first person to comment on any of these songs. theyve been up for a year and no one has said anything till now..for shame lol. anyway i love these songs. great alb by the boys. this one is a fav. not too sure wat the song is about but with all anthonys lyrics you have to come to your own conclusions. any loyal anthony green fan should have this cd.

He has a friend or girlfriend who is depressed about something, and he just wants to see her smile, and do all the small things she used to do when she was happy. I love this sooooonnnnngggg!!! I can relate to it, Im surrounded by a lot of sad people in my family :/

I find it strange that everyone assumes the lyrics are nice. The lyrics have a blatant sadistic ring in my opinion. The show your teeth part is I think about someone trying to react to being harmed or mistreated. The song is about cruelty I think.

I wouldn't go as far as ticklishgio, to say "one of the first emo songs to ever come out", there were tons of Emotive bands that were before his time, and had given Anthony influence... but Audience of One, is one of my favorite bands, and they are very meticulous about their lyrics, and I personaly love it.

i think its just about showing emotion. he wants this person to open up in any way shape or form.

anthony and this son elicit so many different emotions from me..

for me mainly, this song was created and recorded when Anthony was in high school. that's just crazy to me and in my mind. I am a sophomore in college now, but there are so many people I knew in high school that made music, etc, but I couldn't even take them seriously. On the other side of the spectrum there is this band, who I can't help but just get lost in. that idea is crazy to me, being really, legitimately involved with music that 15-18 year olds made.

also, the fact that these songs have to do with the idea of young love. it's obvious that this song, whether specific or not has a lot to do with a high school crush. weird or not, i am fascinated with high school love and the idea of young love in general. it's so rare to find someone in a high school that's willing to speak their true mind let alone in music..

this song is a really attractive song it has a sad romantic beat to it one of the first emo songs to ever come out
