wow... just wow... i think it's a bout taking a drug (i'm thinking an inhalant) then trying to drive home.. but that's really unimaginative, so...

Def. suicidal in my opinion. I would say maybe leaving some place where something made you so upset you wanted to off yourself so your telling your friend to start the car and drive you home because you want to be alone and not to worry about the speed limit because you have a radar detector

i'm thinking it might be a mixture of a few drugs? "Technicolor" is a referral to ecstacy, and a side effect of the "coming down" stage of ecstacy is depression. but then the "slow roll, quick drags" would usually have something to do with weed, and "i'm gonna wrap my head in plastic" could have something to do with trouble breathing, but i don't know what drugs that could be a side effect of i think the narrator is getting help from a friend (who "always knows just what to do"), the friend drives him home, etc. but then it sounds like the narrator is saying he wants to die so he'll "blow his mind" and then he says "i'm going to die anyway, so who cares what speed you're going?" i think the narrator overdosed on something and knows it, and he thinks he's going to die, or he wants to kill himself as a side effect of the drug, then breathes and "chokes and pushes it back up" and decides he's never going to do it again ("first and last taste of the technicolor") the "why are you alone?" part confuses me

I definenly get the feel of drugs from this tune, I listened to it about six times today to try and break it down and drugs is what I got out of it everytime.

i doubt this song is about suicide ive been listening since a while back and ever since i heard this song ive thought it was about having nothing to live for...i dunno might just be me

the entire song is about drugs. both him and his friend are doing weed and at that point he was ok and willing to do anything his friend suggested cuz that friend "always knows just what to do" but then he does ecstasy and doenst take to it well he feel sick and wants to go home so he can sleep it off he blew his mind and now he wants to say good night...the streetlights are bright and hurting his eyes and his friend is driving too slow "fuck a speed limit" at the end he promises that that was the first and last time he did ecstasy.
