I'll Take You On Lyrics

Make me fall down
Make me get up
And if I'm alright
Make sure I'm scared to death
Maybe I'm useless
If I just could remember
Make me feel nervous
And I make you surrender

I'll take you on
I'll take you on
I'll give it all away
But you don't
But you don't
I'll give it all away
But you don't feel much better

Said it yourself
You said I'm not ready
And I'm telling myself
But it's not sinking in
Maybe I'm new at this
Or is it just your reaction?
Be my illusion and I'll be your distraction

I'll take you on
I'll take you on
I'll give it all away
But you don't
But you don't
I'll give it all away
But you don't feel much better

Would I be hurt?
It wouldn't hurt
To see you again
Do you see what I meant
I told you before
That I never wanted to feel like this again

I'll give it all away
But you don't
But you don't
I'll give it all away
But you don't feel much better

Can we stop all the world now
Sooner or later
I lose all control now
When the rain stops we'll end it
Whoa, now
Nothing to fear here
In my baby's arms

I'll take you on (x4)

The end of the song should read-

Can we stop all the world now Sooner or later I lose all control now

When the rain stops we'll end it whoa, now Nothing to fear here In my baby's arms

I'll take you on (X4)

Anyway, I think the song is about two people being together because they desparately need eachother. The girl he is singing about may be depressed or unstable in some way. He wants to see her as being right for him. She wants her to be his illusion, but also he wants to be her distraction for whatever is going on in her life. Be my illusion and I'll be your distraction

At the end where I corrected the lyrics I think he is saying that they each have nothing to fear as long as they are there for eachother. Nothing to fear here In my baby's arms

i think its about the beginning of a relationship and howie is convincing her that hes willing to 'give it all away' and do anything for her love. i think he has to convince her because she 'says (hes) not ready'.

It's about 2 heartbroken people who find each other. They're both scared to trust again, but the love and attraction they feel for one another is so strong they'll try to give it a chance.

One of my favorite Howie songs.
