Weiss Lyrics
remember the day you changed my life?
you opened my eyes as you closed your mind
everything you said distanced us apart
you kept walking you ignorant fuck
maybe one day you'll think about what you said
you left an old man freezing for your own warm bed
that night i was no better
i wanted to turn back but heard pressure calling
since that night there have been others
now i choose humanity over brothers, over covers
maybe one day you'll think about what you said
you left an old man freezing for your own warm bed
you let your own greed
privilege and status
take your humanity
what the fuck jay, why'd you do it
the guy couldn't sleep, you said nothing to it
you said that he was ok, that it was a homeless bluff
the guy couldn't sleep, because you had to be tough
you opened my eyes as you closed your mind
everything you said distanced us apart
you kept walking you ignorant fuck
maybe one day you'll think about what you said
you left an old man freezing for your own warm bed
i wanted to turn back but heard pressure calling
since that night there have been others
now i choose humanity over brothers, over covers
maybe one day you'll think about what you said
you left an old man freezing for your own warm bed
privilege and status
take your humanity
the guy couldn't sleep, you said nothing to it
you said that he was ok, that it was a homeless bluff
the guy couldn't sleep, because you had to be tough

Actually.. This song is all about my cousin, no shit. Jay is his name, the writer of this song, Drew, the lead guitarist of Late for Life and him used to be good friends. I suppose the song means exactly what it says, Jay let his privilege and status take his humanity, he left an old homeless man in the cold, calling it a homeless bluff, and Drew is no longer friends with him I guess.
