Unconditional Lyrics
I've spent my whole life surrounded,
and I've spent my whole life alone.
I wonder why, I never wonder why.
The easiest things are so hard.
I just want, I just want love.
I just want, I just want love.
I just want, I just want love.
I just want
something, something for nothing.
Something, something for nothing.
I'm a beggar and I'm a chooser.
I'm accused, I'm accuser.
But nothing's unconditional.
I hold the whole world accused,
and I’ve only got myself to blame
I wonder why, I never wonder why.
The easiest things are so hard.
I just want, I just want love.
I just want, I just want love.
I just want, I just want love
I just want
something, something for nothing.
Something, something for nothing.
I just want, I just want love.
I just want, I just want love.
I just want, I just want love.
I just want, I just want love.
I just want

I think this song is about wanting love, but wanting it for free. You don't want to have to work for it. Hence the title "Unconditional" But I don't see it as selfish in anyway. This is just a lonely person who wants to be loved. I can't help but love this song. I mean, who does't want love?
Yeah, their lyrics are pretty straight-forward. I think he just wants to be in love, but is a bit cynical about it due to past relationships that didn't work out.
oh and that ekizzle kid is dumb. He says they have no talent, then goes on to say he doesn't either. Am I wrong to think that someone with no talent should not be judging people who do?
This song is so damn catchy, and I love the lyrics. I cannot wait for the full length, if there ever is one.
love this song :)
i think it really captures a sort of bittersweet, desperate for love mood.
i think this is going to become another one of my theme songs like know your onion from the shins.
i love this song the video is sooooo funky and the , guitarist Michael Zakarinis sooooooooooooooo HOT!! i think song is about being annoyed because you want all these things like love but you don't know if you'll ever find it...'i just want, i just want love...'
I JUST WANT I JUST WANT LOVE
wow this song hits deep. i think the song means the person thinks that wanting an unconditional love as a selfish yearning.
Yeah, very talented band, it sucks that they get so much shit from critics (comparing them to the Strokes, the Killers, etc.) which are also awesome bands. A very well written song.
At first the lyrics make Endicott sound pretty needy …I just want I just want love… But then you see him in the video and you think, Oh he is so cute…he is being vulnerable. Amazing what a pretty face can do to change the meanings of things. And I agree - this song really rocks.
