Ok, my interpretation of this song is a bit different from everyone else's, but eh.. Their relationship isnt working out, because both people are guilty (or ''have blood on their hands'') of doing something.
''From the bedroom, where we're running from There's a sequel to the things I've done'' --that kind of gave me the impression that the dude was sleeping with other people
''There is blood on all the shoes you've worn From the people you've been stepping on'' --pretty self-explanitory; shes a bitch to other people.
In the end, they've both done some wrong, but they want to fix their fuck-up relationship, which was corrupted by being unfaithful and bitchy.

yah clairebaby i have to agree that beat at the very end of the song is quite catchy, after watching the whole video and it comes to that beat, it instills a sense of realization of one's actions, fits the descending mood very well
yea i think this about deflowering a girl. Why do all of DFA1979 songs seem to be blatantly about sex? I dont know, but who cares?
In the first verse, he's trying to avoid her, and he's hurting her with words (because when you bleed, you hurt). They've been avoiding the bedroom, obviously, from them falling out or they're sleeping around with other people. The guy has done more than one bad thing, and the woman is obviously very hurt.
Second verse, the woman is hurting other people, by screwing them over and the guy just wants her out of his life.
It seems that the guy wants to get back together with the girl, even after all the bad shit they've done. Anyway, I love all their songs, but this is my favorite as of current.
