This My Favorite's best song. It could be put onto an 80s mixtape alongside Duran Duran, A-ha, and A Flock of Seagulls and no one would notice; the difference is that this song doesn't contain any of the cheesiness associated with some of the artists from that period, and the lyrical depth gives artists like Morrissey a good run for seeing who can write the most depressing upbeat piece possible.
It is admitting to yourself that you're growing away from the club scene. And all of your friends are still having the time of their lives wrapped up in it. You begin to see how they now all look the same--how they appear "indivisible." And you realize, twofold, that you were no different and that it's the same scripted actions every night.
