This song is about ejaculation.
lol i post at their message board .. and everyone thought he was saying "Let Your Sperm Free" lol would have been funny
It would make sense, though.
lol
he loves his girl :)
oh man this is so about keeping it going longer using special methods. 123 PULLOUT!
He was probably fucking with us when he said it was about leaving Iraq. It's definetly about jizzing.
I agree that it's about ejaculation, but he's not talking about himself doing it. Perhaps he's referring to female ejaculation, given that he wants "to get her off" and when she's about to come, he pulls out and turns on the lights so he can see it happening (letting her spirit free). Hey, whatever does it for the guy.
and i quote from the the gig at paradiso
"the song is essentialy about how i'm in love with my monogamous girlfriend and when we have sex i like to have the lights on so i can see how her body moves when i fuck her and also to see where my semen lands when i ejaculate"
Maybe I'm on the wrong track here, but I think it's just a song about the "pull out" method of birth control. I mean, if you look at it that way, "Let your spirit free" could be a shakepearian reference: In Hamlet, someone says to somebody "I'll raise a spirit in her circle." Or something like that.
When I saw them live, Sebastian introduced this song with: "This song is about the joys of unprotected sex." I guess that sums it up.
