Let Myself Fall Lyrics
I let myself fall
I let myself fall
I let myself fall
In love with you
There's no turning back
There's no turning back
There's no turning back
Since I let myself fall in love with you
Now I picture things
Now I picture things
Wedding gowns and wedding rings
Since I let myself fall in love with you
I let myself fall
I let myself fall
In love with you
There's no turning back
There's no turning back
Since I let myself fall in love with you
Now I picture things
Wedding gowns and wedding rings
Since I let myself fall in love with you

I don't know why but for some reason despite the really hopeful lyrics the way she sings it makes me sad. Like a kind of bittersweetness. An almost. A hope yes, but still wishing that you didn't. That you could have hung on and climb back on that precipice because falling... tripping... flying head first toward that uncertainty is scary and horrible. It's about love being so high up. How love is almost like standing on a wonderfully high cliff. And you stand there looking out and wishing to see the world and you can't. And then it comes, that person, with a touch that maddens you and a kiss that frightens you. And you trip and you go and it's all downdowndown. Love is falling and the worst part is you can't see the end. How sometimes it's falling forever, or at least so long that like Alice (from Alice and Wonderland) you get use to the weightlessness and the spinning and the world goes on. And how sometimes you down so far and fast that it's smashing into the ground. How the terrifying part of falling is the landing. Because the only difference in falling and dying and flying and living is how you land.
This song is so refreshing. A song about letting yourself go and allowing yourself to hope, dream and love. Plus its pretty.
