songs don't get more beach boys than this. let's face it, this song is crap, but i can't help but love it, it's so cheesey and typical of mcfly. However much u hate mcfly, when ur drunk u have to dance to it!

It's a bit weird, 'cause through the whole song there's just singing to this "surfer babe" that they want her and stuff like that. But in the beginning they sing:

And that gives you the idea, that maybe there's already a girlfriend or something? But they rather want the "surfer babe" than the other girl who's just reading books.. ? But then again, it could also just be the mom he's lying to, to get out and get himself a "surfer babe" .. Hmm XD Hehe
This is one of my favourite mcfly songs. hahah I know it's not the best, I know it's silly, I know it's basic. But that's what makes it so amazing. It's so catchy, and just makes you wanna dance and lifts your spirits. I just smile like an idiot when I hear it on my mp3 player on the streets hahaha
I really don't get what people expected from this song from an album that's an entire throwback to 60s Surf Rock. McFly loved that shit & this song's good. It perfectly captures what it sets out to.
