The Godspell According to A.A. Newcombe Lyrics

well i've drank alot of whiskey
ate way too many pills
went around tight corners and
had my share of spills
but i've survived

i've made best friends with Jesus
hung out with buddha too
i kicked the devil's ass
and then i wiped him off my shoe
and i don't lie
he can't look me in the eye,
how about you?

well i've had my share of fist fights
and good loving too
although i'm getting older girls
i swear that i'm not through
cause i'm alive
come and get me i'll survive
how about you?
and your voodoo too?
what can you do?
the hoochie-coo?
what can you do?

Goddamn. I love this song! Every BJM song is orgasmic. So glad I discovered the best kept secret in rock n' roll. DIG! was interesting, but Ondi definitely fucked Anton over with the way she edited it.
My favorite scene of the DVD is not Anton's drunk fights or the the band's drugbusts on the road (Very Jerry Springeresque) but it is from the extra footage. BJM is playing on stage and a fan runs up onstage and begins dancing to the music, with the band. Two burly bouncers come out and shove the man away towards the door. Joel and Matt drop their instruments and wrestle the fan from the violent arms of the bouncers.. and invites him to come back and dance onstage with the band. After the song, Matt says that their music is not about the artist being put on a stage above their fans... and invites the whole crowd to come up and groove. IM me at DGZ103 if you like BJM nearly as much as I do.
