Charges against Reubens were dropped 2 years later due to insufficient evidence. That's the legal term, but in fact there was no evidence at all, just complete misinterpretation by the initial investigation. So he didn't own any child pornography, which is different from being a pedophile anyway.

This song is basically about growing up and loosing your innocence. As children, we all have so much faith in our "heroes." Whether those heroes are our parents, musicians, or television characters, we put them on such a high pedestal that we never think they could do anything wrong. As you get older, you see all of the imperfections in people.
Paul Reubens wasn't a pedophile though.
