This song makes me feel like I am floating. Sort of heroin-esque, it's beautiful. I think she is tying very hard to be very careful how she allows her feelings to manifest themselves becuase she fears being hurt....again, possibley.
I think you're pretty much right.
In England, when you say someone is "all sixes and sevens" it means they're crazy or insane. I think she is trying to say that she is crazy about the guy but that she either doesn't want to get hurt or that her love is unrequited and she can't bring herself to tell the other person.
