Without a Song Lyrics
Without a song I left the city
Borrowed a car with no radio
Gone before the sun had a chance to shine
The free wind weighed on my mind
How many roads begin under dark umbrella
They can see the memory of love
Comes a tune, clearing way like a siren
Shifting soon every thought in my head
'Til they all get tangled up in blue
This melody promises me someday words will come
And when they do, I'll shape them into a song
Borrowed a car with no radio
Gone before the sun had a chance to shine
The free wind weighed on my mind
They can see the memory of love
Shifting soon every thought in my head
'Til they all get tangled up in blue
And when they do, I'll shape them into a song

Vetiver is amazing, that is all. To me it's about, not having love, therefore there is no song to sing, but then he remembers a "memory of love" so then comes along a tune as well, the melody promises that someday words will come, the story isn't over, love will possibly rekindle and he will have a song from his heart.
I love the Bob Dylan reference in this song: "tangled up in blue".
"How many roads begin under dark umbrella They can see the memory of love"
that is an amazing lyric. stuff like that is so hard to write
