City Girl Lyrics

Free to live,
last time
and you,
you’re always
You’re wonderful,
I wanted you
I do,
I do,
I do

Free to go,
and go
And you
City girl,
you’re beautiful
I love you,
I do,
I do,
I do

I feel love,
I know
And you
City girl,
you’re beautiful
I love you,
I do,
I do,
I do

Free to go,
I know
And you,
you
City girl,
you’re beautiful
I love you,
I do,
I do,
I do

speaking of which, the band recently re-formed and are currently on tour. let's hope things go well for them, and that anew album is in the making.

now, the transcript above needs a revision. some of the words are wrong and the lyrics are incomplete. so for anybody out there who just happends to stumble on this page. here you go:

city girl last night brand new you're always you're wonderful I want with you I do I do I do

city girl I want with you

city girl you're beautiful I love you I do I do I do

oops, I forgot to post the second half, hehe:

I could love I know how to city girl you're beautiful I love you I do I do I do

city girl I love you city girl you're beautiful I love you I do I do I do

sorry, people out there. English is not my first language. Is this song talking about an actual girl? Or is Shields singing to the city, instead? I mean, the city as a woman, in an idealized or poetic view, maybe?
