Mute Math is a band full of Christian guys, they are not a Christian band though. This is something they have said. Even though they are not a "Christian" band their beliefs still come out in their writing. This song is like a cry out to God or some higher being for help, asking "come mend it all." It's the realization that man can not live without God and when they try to, it all gets torn down, run into the ground. That's what I get out of it.
"Can You make any sense of this"? :) I've been asking that all day.
wow i love this song...first comment..woah
i think this song is about a man who has done a lot of wrong things in his life and want to change/fix the things that are broken and what he has messed up in
....pretty much self explainitory
So, I go on iTunes today and I check up on the free song of the week. Then, I see Mute Math and the song happens to be this song. I'm listening to it now and it's pretty awesome. Mute Math =
I found this song the same way WishingForYou did, i like this song, it remindes me of something U2 would sing, though im not sure thats exactly something to be proud of. I love the guitar right before the chorus, its...awesome
Ditto to the two people before me. This iTunes freebie turned me on like no other. I immediately bought the album. Anyways, my friend thinks this song's about abortion (plan a failed...), but I disagree with him. I think it's just about making mistakes and the consequences of that. Now he's trying to figure out how to fix it all.
Quote UnstuckinTime: it remindes me of something U2 would sing
Sorry but this is definetly mutemath style (typical drums, sometimes very hard/loud) to my opinion. U2 makes entirely different music..
Beautiful song though. I especially like the parts with "All around I fall apart". Beautiful combination of lyrics and music.
