Rise of the Eagles Lyrics

I wanna fly like an eagle, I wanna sing like Sinatra
I got a date with Destruction, I wanna love like a mother

Listen up, let the lesson begin
Cos you’re wrong and you know how to sin
As we dance on a razor’s edge
As we dance they all [hurt in sin?]

I wanna fly like an eagle...

You’re asking why must it be this way
As we’re heading for our dying day
In a hole you’ll be lying in
In a hole they all [hurt in sin?]

All dressed up and ready to go

I wanna fly like an eagle...

It’s not your fault you’re the living dead
Cos you were taught just to nod your head
Race of Man is a dying breed
Race of Man is a burning seed

Listen up, let the lesson begin
Cos you’re wrong and you know how to sin
As we dance on a razor’s edge
As we dance they all [hurt in sin?]

All dresses up and ready to go

I wanna fly like an eagle...

Seems like it's about destruction through too much desire and ambition. Like really apocalyptic-sounding verses in between the chorus and refrain about wanting to become more than you are.

After seeing the video, I think they might have the US in mind. My interpretation can be applied to Amerika, and the word 'eagle' kinda lends itself to that idea to.

Cool, nice going :D About the only song I can work out fully is The Fool... Guy McKnight sounds like he's gargling marbles at times, but in a good way. :D

I would say its about the political waves the Iraq war caused. People not caring and just wanting to have a party all the time.

Super band live.

It could also be "I wanna love like a murder" but it's pretty hard to tell for sure.
