john henderson (the guitarist) sings it its probably my favorite co song and it definitely sounds like leonard I thought it was him at first its not just his voice... the music sounds a bit like Susanne
Or Sisters of Mercy I think its about public figures he knows his well-loved public figure friend is a jerk but no one else does it seems kind of literal
i thought it was the opposite- he knows the depths of his friend's personality, and that they're a good person, despite what others say because of how the person seems... that's why the singer feels guilty about laughing at his friend, because he doesn't mean it...
