i love this song. number one played right now. i think it's hypothetical. he feels like he's waiting for the perfect woman, but hasn't found/met her yet. so he's just waiting for her to show up.

this song is a weird one. i HATE the start, nothing like Seal at all, (well, what I've heard of his) but the rest of it... is pretty good.
meaning. i reckon it's someone apologizing to someone else they hurt because they realized it was wrong of them. possibly a dog, if the ba ba ba... is actually a typo and is really bow wow.

When his fourth album came out Seal did an interview for VH1 describing all the songs. When he got to this one he said that you could ask him what any other song meant but this one. Seal claimed that when the music played he sang the lyrics that we hear on this track with no thought to their meaning. Basically, it means whatever it means to you.
