250 Dollar Loser Lyrics

why do you care if you never cared
before....and now i sit alone. see the
sticks you've thrown, you've broken more
than bones this time. no one loves you.
your seat is empty. no one loves you.

Missing some lyrics, I think this is what he sings...Correct me if I'm wrong!

Why do you care if you never cared before...Someone open my eyes? (Or stubborn...?), when you're gonna leave yours?...And now I sit alone. See the sticks you've thrown, you've broken more than bones this time. If you don't know me and you never will, ???, you kill yourself and now the leash is yours?, And now I sit alone, see the sticks you've thrown, you've broken more than bones this time. And now I sit alone, see the sticks you've thrown, you've broken more than bones this time. No one loves you, your seat is empty, no one loves you and no one loves you, your seat is empty and no one loves you.

It's pretty obvious that this song is about a failed relationship. It's great anyway, my favorite by Evergreen!

those seem about right, i only gathered what lyrics were written on the records. it could be about a friend too, someone who cares little, and then they commit suicide, and he doesnt seem to care. very hateful song, great though.

one minor correction: "some part of the minutes? killed yoruself, and now release is yours."

Yeah your right about the release part.

And about the song talking about some friend or someone that commits suicide, it might be that too, only part that made me think it's about a relation is "You've broken more than bones this time" ...? I don't see how it could fit with a friend.

does anybody know where to find ANY kind of information on this band? i love this band, but i can't find anything on them.

anything you really need to know you can ask me. nothing really to know, they were an indie/rock band in the early ninties, they released about 4 or 5 records, never released ALL the lyrics, some sentences were left out on some songs, and i dont know if the members play in any other bands. they were on gravity and some other record labels. it took me a while to find their records, the actual records not mp3s. a disco was supposed to come out on suicide squeeze, but it never did. i dnt know why.

i always thought it would just be kind of neat to have a bio about Evergreen. i've heard so many things about them, but not many have actually heard their music, let alone know anything about them.

also, random question time:

  1. what are the titles of tracks 4 and 7 on Seven Songs?
  2. has anyone ever tried tabbing any Evergreen songs (specifically, anything off of Seven Songs..i'm partial to that album..heh)?

track 4; Eric And The Digger Blue track 7: Home, So Possibly Home

And if I had any musical talent I would do some tabs. I can kind of play one of their songs on bass but not any off Seven Songs.

edit!

"Someone open my eyes? (Or stubborn...?), when you're gonna leave yours?"

im pretty sure that is actually

"So caught up with my life, when you gonna live yours?"

Yeah that might be it too! ;) Hard to tell hehe

i think it could be about any person messing with the person's life and then just moving away from the person.

maybe it is about a parent. a lot of the lines could lead to the classic misunderstood child, e.g. "you don't know me and you never will" or "so caught up with my life, when are you gonna live yours".

but actually, now that i've written it down it makes as much sense as the failed relationship thing. so forget about it anyway.

brilliant song, may i say so.
