another day flows by
time travel gone astray
my mind in disarray
i could have run away to be with you
i could have run away to be with you
i should have run away to be with you

once we got lost in the woods with your hand interlaced between mine
and i stared straight at the sun and imagined the beams realigned
emotions and photons, that flicker like bees when i look in your eyes, intertwine

six stories above
i watch the world creep by
i used to be in love
and that's enough to make me high on you
and that's enough to make me high on you
and that's enough to make me high on you

I think so to it's a song of regret but not suicide.

"my mind in disarray" Says that the protagonist is confused at those times. "i could have run away to be with you" and "i should have run away to be with you" suggests that he had a chance and didn't do it.

once we got lost in the woods with your hand interlaced between mine and i stared straight at the sun and imagined the beams realigned

These lines are creating imagery on my mind, as I interpret Interlaced on the lyrics as getting blurry or fading away. It's her being gone. Then he realize things changed and there won't be another chance. "i stared straight at the sun and imagined the beams realigned"

About not having another chance too. Having in mind that the protagonist portrayed the story in the woods, I don't think six stories above is about a building or something like that. Perhaps it's about how hard to reach she is now. And so he accepted the fact that all he can do now is think about her as this line says.

i used to be in love and that's enough to make me high on you

I'm positive there's more about the story behind this. Awesome song, one of my favorites ^_^
