Fine, I understand
Okay with me
If that's the plan you can take the stereo
TV and the video the bed the sheets and pillows Before you go
But for now unlock the door
What are we doing all this for?
Let me make you dinner one last time
Then you'll go your way and I'll go mine

And I won't call you baby anymore
Won't call you baby like I did before
Won't call you baby anymore eleanor

You left your smell you left your taste
You left me here with my mistakes
And I can't relate to what you say I've done
Just for you I'll bite my tongue

And I won't call you baby anymore
Won't call you baby like I did before
Won't call you baby anymore
Eleanor I miss you
Eleanor be well
Eleanor I wish you'd release me from your spell
Come on
Eleanor
Do it
You can, do it

And I can't call you baby anymore
Won't call you baby like I did before
Won't call you baby anymore
No I can't call you baby anymore
Won't call you baby like I did before
Won't call you baby anymore Eleanor

i love this song - completely catches the feelings of a breakup. suddenly all the bonds and ties created over the months are supposed to dissappear... the song portrays it exactly... plus the wonderful key changes, yeay!

This song is just soo nice. I never would've listened to it if apple wasn't giving it for free on iTunes. Thats why I have it. Now I love it. I especially like when he says "Let me make you dinner one last time Then you'll go your way and I'll go mine"

I'm a girl but most break-up songs are just about girls telling guys goodbye but now I'm glad to see guys like Maroon 5, Dashboard Confessional and Low Millions belting out these kind of tunes too

"You know you're in trouble when the person once affectionately known to you as 'baby' now only responds to his or her first name. The revocation of such a small, crucial privilege can only signal bad times ahead."

This song is decent. I'm not a big fan of the chorus, but I like the guitar riff after the chorus, thats kinda catchy

This song sounds a lot like the Wallflowers. Actually, most of the songs I like off this album sound like they would have been very much at home on Breach.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

When We Were Young
Blink-182
This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Head > Heels
Ed Sheeran
“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.
