Throwing Words At Walls (aka Piano) Lyrics
I am black keys scattered and afraid
seems like our notes could never agree
Perfectly Ivre, play me something happy
Play me something happy
The eyes that see cedar and feel melody
or those that just stare and never agree
Perfectly Ivre, play me something happy
Finding the note to end on
21 years and the same selfish song
God put you in my piano love dreams
All of my warm words are coming out mean
Finding the note to end on
21 years and the same selfsih song
God put you in my piano love dreams
Don't wake me up while I sleep
while I sleep
while I sleep
Woke up again alone
and I traced the sheets to find you gone
left side of my bed
left side of my chest
wanted something bigger than myself
and if I could take care of you taking care of me
we could be so happy
promise me that your
promise me that your
promise me that your happy
Perfectly Ivre, play me something happy
Hardest part of this is
hardest part of this is
hardest part of this is letting go
seems like our notes could never agree
Perfectly Ivre, play me something happy
Play me something happy
or those that just stare and never agree
Perfectly Ivre, play me something happy
21 years and the same selfish song
God put you in my piano love dreams
All of my warm words are coming out mean
Finding the note to end on
21 years and the same selfsih song
God put you in my piano love dreams
Don't wake me up while I sleep
while I sleep
and I traced the sheets to find you gone
left side of my bed
left side of my chest
wanted something bigger than myself
and if I could take care of you taking care of me
we could be so happy
promise me that your
promise me that your
promise me that your happy
hardest part of this is
hardest part of this is letting go

well this song isn't nearly as hard as their others, but it is still really good. my favorite line is: "Woke up again alone and I traced the sheets to find you gone left side of my bed left side of my chest"
this one is about breaking up, obviously. he realizes that they weren't meant for each other, but it still hurts and he still can't help but feel a little contempt for her, "All of my warm words are coming out mean." he wants her to be happy, and he wants to get past it, but it's still hard to let go.
Since when sis the name change? I'm pretty sure it says Piano on my copy of the cd.
Ivre is Seth's ex-girlfriend and this song is about her...kind of a play on words with the name "Ivre" and the "Ivory" keys of a piano.
