Strength in a Breath Lyrics

Death be a liar
say that the morning will come soon
and this dreary black cloud will soon be brushed away
you sound shaky on the phone
where is he staying?
No, that's fine mom I love you and i'll call you when I get there
With my own disgression this drive will be peaceful
not a thought of the looming fact that roles over and over again
and i'll feed denial till it eats my insides
with each exhale the hand grips tighter around my neck
my feet will keep pace with the sway of the wipers
anything to keep my mind at ease

Breath deep this could be the last chance you get to say what you mean breath deep this could be the last chance you get to say what you mean

These bulidings are blurry and my vision's tunneled
these sterile white hallways tell stories of people that will never be the same again
please I need assistance
where's room 107?
down the hallway, past the stairwell, on your left
Its so nice to see you
I know its been too long
We must keep in close contact

Breath deep this could be the last chance you get to say what you mean breath deep this could be the last chance you get to say what you mean

I hope you dont forget the good times
that we spent together
Im not ready to say goodbye

When you breath, breath in deep!

well i don't really know, but this song is fucking awesome. i saw them in concert a week ago and they rock.

i guess i would say that this song is about him driving, obviously, to see someone who he loves. during the drive, he keeps denying it and cannot relax. he isn't ready to say goodbye, but he has to. he hopes he can say what he wants to to the person.

It seems like he's talking about getting away. But he has to lie about where he's going...maybe even lie to himself:

"I'll feed denile till it eats my insides"

and then theres another whole half of the song and I'm not sure what that means but I love Correta Scott :)

This song was written by the old singer, Seth Woodward, and is actually about his grandfather dying.
