Real To Me Lyrics

Showbiz/bullshit dinners and the free champagne
Men in suits who think they know it all
No one knows me but they know my name
That's not real to me

Hotel lobby to the aeroplane
Another country but they start to look the same
Watch the world behind a windowpane
That's not real to me

When I see my babies run
When all the madness has been and gone
I raise my family and live in peace
Now that's what's real to me
Real to me

Dying flowers in a dressing room
A dangerous time to let your head make up its own mind
Got me thinking that the spirit's flown
That's not real to me

When I see my babies run
When all the madness has been and gone
I raise my family and live in peace
Now that's what's real to me

Picnics in the garden and the children they can play
The first day of the summer and I laze here all the day
And we'll invite the family ‘round and drink some English tea
Then I raise up me finger and watch football on TV

Now that's what's real to me

When I see my babies run
When all the madness has been and gone
I raise my family and live in peace
Now that's what's real to me
That's what's real to me
Real to me

Wake up you might be dreaming
Wake up you might be dreaming now

I wonder if this song is gay.

This one's a bit trashy and normally not my kind of music. But I have to admit it's kinda well done. At least better than the Westlife crap he did before. I'm not gay btw.

I loathe pop music. I listen to melodic death metal. But I like this song. I suppose it's abotu what's... real to him. Surprise surprise. How being famous isn't all it's made out to be and ends up being a pain the ass, and he'd rather just do the 'quiet life' thing.

typical song for people in troubles. the whole song has a great melody, which i feel quite relative to the song. at the beginning this song leads me to the easy life that everybody wants for, running away from a complicated world. however at the end of the song it takes me back to reality - the part "wake up you might be dreaming now". emm
